Tetrad Dakota Sofa Collection
The Tetrad Dakota Sofa Collection is a striking blend of handcrafted British upholstery, luxurious natural materials and distinctive heritage-inspired design. Handmade in Britain, the Dakota combines premium leather with beautifully woven 100% wool fabrics to create a sofa that is as comfortable as it is eye-catching.
Inspired by Native American geometric patterns, the Dakota range is available as the Tetrad Dakota Petit Sofa and Tetrad Dakota Midi Sofa, together with two matching footstools, allowing you to create a beautifully coordinated living space. Every piece is individually handcrafted, giving each one its own unique character while delivering the exceptional quality for which Tetrad is renowned.
Unlike mass-produced furniture, the Dakota is built using traditional upholstery techniques, a durable hardwood frame and luxurious feather-filled seat cushions that provide outstanding comfort for everyday living. Over time, the natural leather develops a rich patina, making every Dakota sofa even more individual as it ages.
Dakota Sofa & Footstool Options
The Dakota collection offers two sofa sizes together with two coordinating footstools, making it easy to tailor the range to your home.
Measuring 174cm wide, the Dakota Petit Sofa is perfect for smaller living rooms, apartments or as part of a larger seating arrangement. Despite its compact footprint, it offers generous comfort with a 103cm depth, 68cm seat depth and 47cm seat height.
At 204cm wide, the Dakota Midi Sofa provides even more seating space whilst retaining the same handcrafted quality and luxurious comfort. It is ideal for family living rooms and larger spaces where extra seating is required.
Both sofas are 103cm deep and 82cm high, with the Midi offering a wider seating area of 162cm compared with 132cm on the Petit.
Matching Dakota Footstools
To complete the collection, Tetrad also offers two beautifully handcrafted matching footstools upholstered in the same premium leather and 100% wool fabric combinations.
The Dakota Large Rectangular Footstool measures 196cm wide x 82cm deep x 34cm high, making it ideal as a luxurious footrest, additional seating or a stylish centrepiece when paired with a tray.
The Dakota Large Curved Footstool measures 132cm wide x 80cm deep x 32cm high and features elegant flowing lines that perfectly complement the Dakota sofas whilst creating a softer, more relaxed look.
Cherokee or Mohican?
The Dakota collection is available in two carefully selected upholstery combinations, each offering its own distinctive personality.
The Cherokee option combines luxurious Comanche Rawhide leather with beautifully woven Cherokee patterned wool fabric, creating a lighter, more relaxed appearance that suits country homes and Scandinavian-inspired interiors.
For a richer, warmer look, the Mohican option pairs Saddler Walnut leather with Mohican patterned wool fabric, making it an excellent choice for traditional interiors and darker timber furniture.
Both fabrics are woven from 100% wool on traditional looms before being gently brushed to create a wonderfully soft finish with exceptional texture and depth. Every Dakota sofa is supplied with two matching 100% wool sheepskin scatter cushions, adding even more luxury and comfort.
